Uses

Somogel gives fast relief from pain and soreness caused by mouth ulcers and other related ailments of the buccal cavity including gingivitis and glossitis. It is also useful in the treatment of teething problems in babies. 

It is also used to treat Local numbness.

Indications

This medicine is used as local anesthesia, to prevent and relieve pain during certain medical procedures and it is also used to numb the lining of the mouth, throat, or nose before certain medical procedures.

Side Effects

Patients using this medication may at times experience dizziness. confusion. convulsions. and depressed respiratory rate. If you experience any of these symptoms for a long period please consult your doctor.

Elderly patients and patients with renal (kidney), hepatic (liver) impairment, hypotension (low blood pressure), severe shock, epilepsy (brain disorder in which brain activity becomes abnormal, causing seizures), myasthenia gravis (muscular disorder where there is a serious muscle weakness), porphyria (a group of liver disorders, negatively affecting the skin or nervous system), respiratory impairment, sinus bradycardia (slow heart beat) or any form of heart block should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.
